FAO US Customers

As we are sure you are aware, the current exemption threshold for imported items of $800 is due to end on the 29th August. After this date, orders received in the USA will be liable to pay duties based on the contents of the parcel and its appliable tax rates. As we understand it, because all our products are manufactured in the UK, this should be around the 10% mark – but this is not yet fixed. As a small business, we are unable to absorb this cost for our customers.
We are currently waiting for further updates, and for checkout integration systems to be launched that will allow you to prepay these duties. In the meantime, we will be continuing to ship to the USA with DHL Express as they are positioned to handle duties payments directly from the recipients.
As of the 18th August, we will be temporarily suspending Royal Mail shipments until the duties paid options with them becomes clearer. After this time, you can still receive any orders from us with DHL Express shipping.
All pending orders will be shipped in the next week to get them into the country before the deadline. If you have pre-ordered Out Of Time, do not worry! We have a plan in place for fulfilling these.
If you want to get your order in with Royal Mail, we encourage you to place it this week! Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to make this as streamline as possible for you all and will provide updates whenever we have them.
Thank you for your understanding,
The Spectre Team
